South Shore My Block My Hood My City
To truly make our City a better and more interconnected place, we need more people, young & old to explore beyond their own blocks and their hoods.
Every month we take a group of interested teenagers on a City wide exploration, visiting hidden gem businesses, artful intersections, and exposing them to more of Chicago, not just a few blocks.
Chicagoans don’t define themselves as Chicagoans. We isolate ourselves in accordance to geographical or community boundaries. We say we’re from the north, south, east and west sides. This mindset limits our opportunities.
