Three important community service organizations, SkyArt, South Chicago Public Library, and South Chicago YMCA, combined resources and talent to celebrate South Chicago’s very first 3 Corners Fest (they share three of the four corners at 91st Street and Houston Avenue), intended to provide a safe, creative, public space for children and adults to enjoy. SkyArt plans to “take the show on the road” throughout South Chicago, spreading the positive power of the arts widely. Give their marvelous 15-year track record in the community, and the broad base of community artists who act as supportive partners whenever possible, the prospects are truly exciting.
