Chicago Shakespeare Theater inaugurated cultural programming in the Chicago Park District’s new Steelworkers Park, at 87th Street and Lake Michigan, in South Chicago, on July 19, 2015, delighting an audience of more than 500 with its high-velocity sampler of “Shakespeare’s Greatest Hits.” In true Shakespearean fashion, the outdoor production sparked what promises to be an ongoing love affair between the Southeast Chicago community and Chicago Shakespeare Theatre.
