Far South CAC is……Welcome to The Far South Community Action Council, also known as Far South CAC. The Far South CAC provides community support for the development of quality Chicago Public Schools through engaging, empowering, and connecting stakeholders.

      The Far South CAC was formed to serve as a vehicle of empowerment for families and community members who want to impact change and improve schools on the Far South Side of Chicago.

Far South CAC membership include parents, elected officials, faith-based institutions, health care, community-based organizations, Local School Council (LSC) members, business leaders, educators, school administrators, community residents, and students.

Far South CAC was designed to be a forum for stakeholders to debate and discuss issues regarding the status of the schools and to proactively engage the community in developing strategies to improve the local area schools.
