After well over a year of negotiation, hard work, commitment and courage by women working in the hotel industry Union and Nonunion who are often overlooked and marginalized, we celebrated the start of our landmark Panic Button Ordinance, passed by the Chicago’s City Council!!
Now women can now feel a measure of safety working in hotel rooms alone and more importantly can report abusive behavior by a hotel guest without fear of retaliation!! #UniteHereLocal1
