On Saturday, October 3, 2020, volunteers gathered once again to prepare the Three Little Birds Garden, for winter. The garden is located behind the Senior Suites of Hegewisch at 13550 Avenue O. The work day brought young and old alike to move mulch, build garden beds, and clear the area of recently removed tree branches. Among the volunteers was Tony Margis, founder of The HOMETOWN facebook group who donned work gloves and spent the morning helping where needed. The HOMETOWN facebook private group was created in March 2020 and now has over 5200 members! A recently held raffle had all of the proceeds from the HOMETOWN store and contributions being donated to Three Little Birds Gardens https://threelittlebirdsgardens.org/
