We have been told that there is a projected $3.9 billion budget shortfall for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2021, and a nearly $5 billion dollar deficit for the following year beginning July 1, 2021. I was appointed to the House Democratic Budget Working Group and the Budget Advisory Group Committee. My goal is to confront the issues we face head-on while ensuring that we fight for the resources necessary to protect our most vulnerable residents.
