  • Do you know the history of Black Friday? Do you want an alternative to celebrating the capitalistic holiday that gives to corporations that doesn’t give back to us? Arts Bank Cinema will be screening The Black Power Mixtape 1967–1975 (2011) and Spike Lee’s Malcolm X (1992), along with other footage about the Black Panther Party.

    Black Power Friday is a day long exploration of Black Power activists and contributions through cinema, music and literature.
