An online effort has been launched to bring back the Christmas lights at the Illinois Capitol.
Earlier this week, Secretary of State Jesse White scrapped the annual holiday displaybecause of the ongoing budget crisis.
A Springfield woman has now launched a GoFundMe page to raise $7,300 needed to put up the display. So far, the campaign has raised $920.
