Southeast Chicago residents, business owners, and service providers met to discuss the results of an ongoing South Chicago Chamber of Commerce planning process, guided by staff members of University of Illinois Great Cities Institute (GCI), and aimed at revitalizing South Chicago’s Commercial Avenue business district.
Included among the participants were representatives of the James H. Bowen High School Alumni Group, Calumet Ecological Park Association (CEPA), Claretian Associates, East Side Chamber of Commerce, Macias Produce, the Southeast Chicago Historical Society, Southeast Environmental Task Force (SETF), and U.S. Bank, among others.
