The Chicago Police and Firefighter Training Academy Program (CPFTA) Recruitment Event.

Info Forward by Alderwoman Garza:

ATTENTION: The Chicago Police and Firefighter Training Academy Program (CPFTA) will be hosting recruitment events for sophomore students (Chicago residents only) with a grade point average of a 2.3 or higher starting in February 2019.

CPFTA is a two-year program, developed jointly by the Chicago Public Schools Office of College and Career Success, the Chicago Police Department, the Chicago Fire Department, and the City Colleges of Chicago. The CPFTA runs as a two-year high school, after-school, citywide program recruiting both public and non-public high school sophomores who have a genuine interest in a career in public safety, criminal justice, or fire science.

One of the goals of this program is to expose high school students to exciting careers in the City of Chicago.
