Ability to effectively prioritize, lead and project manage in a dynamic, fast paced corporate setting.
Ability to effectively build relationships, take quick and decisive action when necessary.
Experience in cross-functional and indirect leadership roles is essential.

Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment is required.  This is a long-term, steady position for those who are committed to high quality and being at work every day.  Company is NOT accessible by public transportation.

·        Training will occur on 2nd (3pm-11pm) or 3rd shift (11pm-7am)

·        Starting Pay Rate $9.50/hr-$9.75/hr

PRODUCTION WORKER/ PACKER – 1st and 2nd Shift Available – Midway Area

Work involves packaging items into bags, packing the bags into boxes, taping boxes and stacking on pallets.   Scooping food products from bulk container onto conveyors, sweeping floor to remove food bits that fall off conveyor, putting boxes together,

The work environment is refrigerated at 38 degrees and involves:

·        Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, Standing for extended periods, Fast paced

·        Cold, refrigerated environment.

ORDER PICKER – MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR ALL SHIFTS – Brookfield, Illinois (not accessible by public transportation)

Fast paced, refrigerated, Distribution Company near Brookfield is seeking manual order selectors to join their team!  Associates will be responsible for manually picking orders in dry, cold, and freezer areas (90 degrees – negative 10 degrees) of this distribution center.  The manual order selector/loader receives, selects, and loads product utilizing both material handling equipment and manual labor while maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary work area.

·        Position requires previous order picking experience and the ability to operate electric pallet jacks and material handling equipment

·        Training will occur on 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) and can move to different shifts as production needs demand

·        Starting pay $12.50/hr

·        Must have high school diploma or GED

General Laborer/ Shipping Department – 9am-5:30pm – 39th and Cicero Ave

Assist with preparing packages to go out by UPS or  receiving products to be put away.  Position requires high attention to detail, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and warehouse experience.  Poor attendance will not be tolerated in this position.

·        1st shift (9am-5:30pm)

·        Starting Pay Rate $9.00/hr

·        Must have high school diploma or GED


Working in teams of 4, individuals will be assembling car parts:  the inside car roof for an auto manufacturing plant and the front bumper.   Must be able to meet production assembly targets of 2 minutes per piece and be able to stand for long periods of time.  Position also requires a mechanical aptitude and ability to use small tools, i.e. hand drill.  All candidates will need to pass mechanical aptitude/ company hiring testing.

·        2nd Crew (Tues-Fri) 6pm-4:30am

·        3rd Crew (Friday and Saturday | 6am-4:30pm AND Sunday and Monday | 6pm-4:30am)

·        Starting pay rate $10.00/hr

·        Must have high school diploma or GED

Proactive Community Services       

          HIV/STD Outreach, Tester & Counselor

 Proactive Community Services (PCS) is seeking an HIV/STD Outreach, Tester &  Counselor to provide counseling, testing, and referral HIV services to high-risk populations of unknown serostatus.  The HIV/STD Outreach, Tester &  Counselor engages clients at high-risk of HIV/AIDS infection, transmission and re-infection into the HIV prevention services.   Services aredone on-site at PCS and at other appropriate off-site locations, including fixed and mobile.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

Conducting on-going Street and community outreach to engageclients into HIV prevention services, including using social networks strategies.

Conducting confidential HIV testing and confidential STD screening.

Providing HIV pre/post-test counseling, including administering risk assessments questionnaire and referring clients to appropriate resources.

Facilitating and monitoring evidencebased interventions.

Facilitating the distribution of risk reduction information and education materials to clients.

Assisting with the development of outreach activities including date, sites, and times of visits at location frequented by targeted populations.

Maintaining complete and timely written documentation of client contacts, work activities, including accurate and up-to-date activity logs, submitting monthly and quarterly reports and participating in trainings and staff meetings as required plus ordering and maintaining supplies and materials.

Working in collaboration with other HIV Counselors and prevention staff to coordinate services.

Participating in community health fairs and other events and on-going professional development.

Educational and Requirements

At least three years of experience outreach/HIV prevention activities, including combination of training. and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities to perform job responsibilities.

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in the fields of social science, public health, or related disciplines a plus.

Phlebotomy certification a plus.

Ability to develop rapport and positive relationships with at-risk and hard-to-reach populations, including HIV+ individuals and substance abusers.  

Must be able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, as needed.

Knowledge of HIV/AIDS/STD and its impact on minority health issues and communities.

Excellent verbal/written communication skills and cultural competence in client and community values and behaviors, including experience working with diverse populations.

Ability to multi-task, working on multiple projects and make decisions according to defined protocols.

Requires Illinois or Chicago Department of Public Health Certifications, including Fundamentals of HIV. Prevention Counseling and Testing, Fundamentals of HIV Counseling Testing—Partner Services, STD Screenings.
